| POLO Club of Lee County |
Founded in
1989, POLO Club of Lee County has established a long track record
for fulfilling its mission in SW Florida. In addition to being the
founding organization of Jazz on the Green, SW Florida's premier outdoor jazz concert, we have raised over $325,000 for local charities with events like our annual Bachelor Auction. Our community-minded membership forms a reliable resource for event organizers who regularly invite POLO volunteers to help with event logistics. Our regular beach cleanups at Lovers Key State Park
provide an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of one of the
most beautiful stretches of sand in the country, and have fun doing it.
In 2008, we raised over $10,000 for local charities with events like the spring Bachelor Auction and cooperative ventures with other Lee County event planners.
We also have a full schedule of social events: our monthly Dinner Clubs at local restaurants, First Friday and "Wet Your Whistle Wednesday" happy hours, sports activities, and events suggested by our members. In addition, POLO holds a monthly membership meeting on the second Tuesday of each month (except December). Meetings are free, open to members and non-members alike, and feature guest speakers from the community.
Membership is available to any Lee County resident. Dues are currently $72.00 per year, payable annually. For more details, email President Connie Martin at president@clubpolo.com.
